Verizon CEO calls the IPhone Sucess Conspiracy

You can read about the Verizon CEO's thoughts on the iPhone in an article at Cnet titled, Verizon CEO: iPhone success a 'conspiracy'

According to the article, the CEO of Verizon will probably not get an apple iPhone any time soon.

The head of the telecom giant seemed a bit irritated about Apple's march into the mobile phone industry when he answered a question posed by the Financial Times about Apple's chances of reaching the mass market with the iPhone 3G by saying, "There goes the conspiracy again. You're declaring them a winner before they've earned it on the field."

Zune Resources on the Web

I was recently surfing the web for something new to write about. And it dawned on me that I don't really have much posted about Microsofts Zune. To be truthful I don't really know that much about the Zune. So I thought I better get up to speed and see what kind of resources there are online for the Zune.

To start with, if you are like me and know almost next to nothing about the Zune, then you might want to start with Zune@wikipedia. Very informative and covers what I think are the basics with articles that allow you to compare the different media players and the online music stores.

Other References;

Zune.net - The official Microsoft Zune Site.

Zune Insider Blog - Very good zune resource. Kind of an mp3 blog for Zune users.

Zune User Group - Lots and lots of great info here.

CNETTV Zune 80 First Look

Including Wi-Fi syncing, audio and video podcasts, screen quality improvements, touchpad and the new operating system.

A Cool iTunes Web Site for Runners

I recently stumbled onto a very innovative website that will be of interest to runners who run with their iPods. The website JogTunes is really cool, it provides links and info about songs to run to.

The site was created by Robert Marcus. According to the linkshare website he is;

A casual runner who enjoys listening to music while running, Robert Marcus found that when music matched his pace, running was more fun. The idea of music-paced running was born. In 2005, Robert created JogTunes.com, a site with extensive lists of songs from LinkShare merchant Apple iTunes. Runners can choose the style of music they prefer and then select songs of any tempo to create the perfect soundtrack for any length of run.
